Social Responsibility

Overview

VOLANSYS Foundation, established in August 2019 is the CSR arm of VOLANSYS. During the initial years, the activities started with the objective of giving something back to society by serving food to the needy, hence it was named “Food for Hungry”. We received immense support from our team and together we wanted to work for other causes too. Thus, the thought became bigger and we renamed this initiative “Helping Hands”, to give our bit to society.

The journey from ‘Food for Hungry’ to ‘VOLANSYS Foundation’ took 5 years, and we continue to grow in tandem with our vision: not only “Transforming Human Lives through Technological Innovation,” but also “Transforming Human Lives by Giving Back to Society” for collectively generating good karmas.

The team at VOLANSYS has encouraged us to push our boundaries wider and wider, to spread the wings of humanity and goodness in society.

Our activities span across various areas like

  • Distributing raw food materials and vegetables
  • Distributing slippers to the children on streets
  • Distributing clothes on the footpaths
  • Distribution of grocery kits (the kit includes rice, dal, masala, oil, atta and potatoes) to TB patients
  • Arrange medical help for needy
  • Collaborate closely with Prakash School’s specially-abled students
  • Distributing mangoes to the less privileged on the streets in summer
  • Distributing Diwali snacks to the people on the street
  • Keeping cool water jugs on the street during the summer season
  • Helping the martyr families of Pulwama attack
  • Helping Chennai flood-affected families
  • Helping Nepal’s earthquake-affected people
  • Serving SuvarnaPrashanaSanskar to children below 16 years

We reach out to NGOs and social activists working in fields such as education, raising orphans, and hospitals for cancer children to provide nutrition and other essentials as needed.

Health

India being a country with unequal income distribution and a large population, so it’s difficult for a large chunk of people to access health facilities. It gets critical, especially during chronic illness or other major health problems. Medical being expensive, we take up projects related to health and medical aid that can help for a healthier India.

In August 2017, we came to know through a source that a 6-year-old boy named Vanraj belonged to a small, loving family in Kodinaar (Gir, Somnath). Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer, and his kidneys were also not functioning and he was on dialysis as well. We visited the child and decided to help him in whatever way we could for his operation, which for his parents was beyond their reach. With the help and good intentions of the entire Volansys team, we were able to collect Rs. 88,000 in just 3 hours of sharing this sad news, which proves that humanity and help still prevail in society and we all are ready to help the right and good cause. The boy went through a successful surgery.

Education

In August 2015, we decided to take up the cause of Education. As it is said, Education is the most powerful weapon that one can use to change the world for the better. Since then, we have been sponsoring education for children in order to improve their lives and futures. Supporting education is what is going to change society and life so our work towards supporting children's education is an ongoing process.

Currently, Biren Rabari is studying at K.S. School of Business Management, Ruzu Shah has finished his 11th standard exams and Shweta Bhavsar has finished her 11th exams.

Specially abled Children

We have been associated with Prakash School for the needs of special children at Ahmedabad. It is a semi government funded institute with around 80 special abled children. We sponsor monthly fees for students to meet their needs and other requirements.

We also reach out to them with their requirements as and when they come up with any, e.g., food, notebooks, bedsheets, sponsoring lunch, etc.

Miscellaneous Needs

Projects under this category include natural disaster like earthquake, calamities, and other projects as may be the case. On April 25, 2015, a massive 7.8 earthquake rocked the fragile nation of Nepal, leaving much of historic Kathmandu in rubble and shattered hundreds of thousands of lives. We donated for the earthquake.

We do not want to stop here and want to do more towards helping around and in this effort, we thank each one of you for being a part of the VOLANSYS foundation so that we are able to make a difference in someone’s life in our own small way.
