USA based Security Company developing a new breed of unified network security products. They offer solutions that integrate video management, access control, intrusion detection, and video analytics into one, setting new standards in performance vs. cost.

Business Challenge
  • The client needed a technology upgrade for one of the solution components of their surveillance systems going end of life. For the same, they were looking for a solution with long term visibility along with maintained security and performance of real-time video streaming without delays and provide technical support to resolve their customer’s issues
  • They were also looking for an alternate cloud platform that is robust and cost-effective to host their core infrastructure

    • Upgraded web UI by migrating it to latest technologies like Angular JS and HTML5 to administer and operate the Gateway via browser
    • Provided connected cameras as thumbnails on UI and ability to select the camera of interest to view the live stream

    • Implemented WebRTC streaming technology that is native to latest browsers maintaining the real-time streaming without latency
  • Firmware
    • Porting firmware application for surveillance gateways from Ubuntu 12.04 Operating System to 14.04 and later to 18.04 to support upgraded

    • Enhanced application to support recording of video from multiple camera streams, maintain camera motion event data, user swipe and access
      control records
    • Remote access to all security assets in local network using Gateway web app and over global internet using a common web portal
  • Core system migration from old platform to AWS
    • Migrated following systems to AWS
      • License server – Manages licenses of end customers
      • Update server – Used for providing application updates
      • Upgrade server – Used for providing application/security/performance updates of ubuntu 12.04
      • Remote Gateway Management Software (RGMS) server – Used by the end customer to access their registered gateways
      • MySQL database server – Used by RGMS server
      • Admin server – Used for providing subscription keys for various paid features of the application
  • End customer support
    • Extended technical support for end customer reported issues, debugging and fixing the bugs
    • Provided end-to-end system training to end customer’s IT staff via online and onsite sessions
