802.11N 3×3 MIMO Outdoor Wireless Mesh AP

Client approached us with the need to engineer mesh network products utilizing 802.11 n. Among the products, would also be included, outdoor access point and customer premises equipment. The client faced the necessity to undergo a complete tech shift, specifically because they had recently taken over 802.11 A/B/G/N VxWorks based Product Company. Additionally, they also had a few pre-committed projects on hand that required deliverance within a very tight deadline.


Acquiring a set-up that was already dealing in advanced Wi-Fi protocols, gave the client a golden edge. All products under the existing product lines, could now be enabled with next generation Wi-Fi protocols, thus ensuring higher profitability and better welcome feature set in the existing products. We set our goals clear and aimed at achieving implementation of 802.11 n in each product type that the customer was already dealing in.


The timeline for execution was really short and the project dictated a complete shift of technology. It was basically a scratch to end gig, so apparently, we were solely responsible for sketching out the right plan, being functional in the core development phase and closing the project successfully with rigorous testing.
